Just Like Airwolf!

You will be happy to know that Vegas wasn't all 'Yard Dogs', shopping and Starbucks!

Que another long post (for which I apologise!)

While we were there we took a trip of a lifetime to visit the Grand Canyon by helicopter. I was a little apprehensive, as I'm not a thrill seeker, but I was so glad I agreed to do it!

We used Maverick Helicopters and I have to say they were fabulous. A few initial squeals of terror were soon replaced with oohs and aahs as we were treated to breathtaking views of stunning landscapes, Lake Mead and the Colorado River

We even spied the Hoover Dam! (we also had a trip there later in the week!)

After about 40 minutes we flew over what looked like a rocky hill and the ground fell away, we were there, the west rim of the grand canyon!

We flew for about 12 miles getting lower and lower into the canyon before landing as low as possible on the canyon floor, where we had little champagne reception

After a little look round and plenty of photo opportunities we went to refuel and then headed back to the strip.

Unfortunately I was a little distracted as I was feeling a little bit green, luckily I didn't get ill and am very grateful that it only started a short while from landing!

Even with the queasiness I'm so glad we went, it was certainly an experience I wouldn't have missed, and thanks to the DVD James bough of our trip we can watch it again, laughing at our comments and my squeals!

Lots of Love

Wow that's amazing!! I went to the grand canyon but not in a helicopter, we just peered over some viewing platforms, took some photos and then headed back to Arizona. I LOVED Hoover Dam though, thought it was so amazing. And I can see that the bridge is way more finished than it was when I was there in 2008!

Wow Kelly, it looks fabulous. I would love to visit Vagas.

Not sure I would be so brave as to go on a helicopter, I think I would be very very nervous.
