Rachel The Great!

I Don't know where the time has gone! I have been itching to share mine and Victoria's little jaunt to Selfridges with you!
Such a lovely 'Day of Fun' (as always!)
We arrived at the lovely Selfridges basement (a magic world of gorgeousness!) to meet the fabulous TCakes for the signing, and there she was!!! Rachel Ashwell, my hero just going about her business! I must confess to being a bit starstruck and Victoria and I were really conscious of loitering (not wanting to look like loony fans!)
We had a look round the beautiful displays especially created for the event, It really was like stepping into one of her books!

Our lovely bloggy friend TCakes arrived (looking stunning might I add!) and we excitedly bought our copies of Rachel's new, beautiful book.
All I can say about Rachel Ashwell is that she is one amazing woman! she took allot of time to speak to everyone individually and was engaging and so 'normal'.
It was a real privilege to meet her (I know I'm gushing but it is rare that a person you admire lives up to your expectations!)

Do I look excited at all?

After the signing we all gathered to hear a talk about the background and inspiration behind the new book. This was very personal and touching and she shared a great deal of herself and her design inspiration with us, again a privilege to hear!
We followed this fantastic experience with a yummy dinner with TCakes where we had good food and great conversation. A very successful first date!
Check out Victoria's post here and TCakes post here for more lovely pictures!
Until tomorrow ladies think beauty, comfort, function a la Rachel Ashwell!
Lots of Love

P.S sorry for lack of comments, I'm working through the backlog :) xxxxxxx

We were funny... I'm sure in our attempt to not look like we were loitering we looked more like stalkers!!!
